We are currently not accepting any more beta users due to a sufficient number of users already adopting the platform in its beta stage. There is no expected public release date yet. We're currently working with our beta clients to build a better experience for teams everywhere.
Active users are users which have the ability to sign in and use your team's workspace. We understand that team members can occasionally leave and their contributions may still be relevant and useful to your business, so we've designed Ensembox to allow workspace admins to classify users in such scenarios as inactive. This means that their contributions to your workspace can still remain, however they no longer have access to your workspace. Inactive users do not count towards your plan's active user limit.
Pricing plans are not charged per user. If your team consists of up to 5 users inclusively, you can have access to Ensembox for free, with no billing information required. Once your team grows and exceeds 5 users, you must pick a plan that supports your user count for a fixed monthly charge. This means that you can add as many active users as you'd like to your workspace for the same fixed monthly charge as long as it's within your plan's maximum active user limit.
There is no difference in features between plans, however there may be increases in soft-limits to accommodate more users. Soft-limits prevent the abuse of our servers and platform. We've defined these limits in a special way that ensures the majority of our customers don't experience them. Our only aim with soft-limits is to minimize the strain on our servers from bots and malicious users.
Video and audio calling and conferencing features are in development and only accessible to a portion of our beta users currently for testing. If you are accessing Ensembox in a country which restricts online VoIP services, calls and conferencing features may not work. This may be due to network restrictions handled by your ISP, or just our servers detecting your origin country and attempting to hide features that won't work. We plan to work with authorities in such locations to acquire licenses and permission for our VoIP services, however we can only do so if the respective authorities don't require us to agree to terms which may harm or jeopardize the privacy of our customers.
All of our servers are located in London, however we make use of caching static assets and a global content delivery network to minimize latency and provide the best customer experience to all our users, regardless of their geographic location.
